Today, Universitat de València is awarded the prize Fer Comarca 2012 by Institut d’Estudis de la Vall d’Albaida

Today, Universitat de València is awarded the prize Fer Comarca 2012 by Institut d’Estudis de la Vall d’Albaida (IEVA) at the annual dinner of this institute. This year, the governing board, following the instructions of institute’s General Assembly, awards the prize to Universitat de València for maintaining the studies of experimental sciences and preschool teacher training in the region. Moreover, Universitat de València has created the Vice-principal’s office for participation and territorial projection, which connects the university with its studies centres.

 

The annual dinner is taking place at the restaurant Font Jordana in Agullent. The prize is a sculpture by the Albaida’s artist Josep Sanjuan.

 

The set menu will be composed of French-inspired dishes as the IEVA’s Calendario de Fiestas, Tradiciones y Gastronomía for 2012 is dedicated to French cuisine. A new intitute’s book is going to be presented at the same time: Enric Valor: lingüista, novel•liste i rondaller, a book that includes the last conference on the author in Agullent as well as other works related to him.

With this prize, the Institut d’Estudis de la Vall d’Albaida wants to thank people and entities working for culture and for La Vall d’Albaida.
