The Chair for Digital Gender Gap, signed between the Universitat de València and the Valencian Government, promotes a series of activities in order to reduce the differences between men and women in access, education and employment in the use of information and communication technology (ICT).
For this year, the Chair for Digital Gender Gap focuses its efforts in analysing and promote the leadership of women in the business sector of the Valencian Community, specially in the field of ICT. Our main objective is to promote the inclusion of a gender perspective in innovation through new leadership models to break the stablished stereotypes.
The Workshop InnovadorAs is offered to women with a junior professional profile from the business, scientific or academic sector (doctoral and postdoctoral programme students). The workshop, that has leadership and innovation as their main courses of action, will offer training in problem solving and strategy designs in effective communication and leadership. Throughout the two conferences, the participants will experience a participative and dynamic training.
The workshop will take place between Thursday 3 October and Friday 4 October from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The workshop will take place at the assembly hall (0.0.3) of the School of Engineering of the Universitat de València (ETSE-UV), at the Burjassot-Paterna campus.
- The first conference of te workshop will have Alain Manzano, with the talk ‘Service Leadership, Inclusive and Testimonial’, and Almudena Martín Castro, with ‘Product discovery and Research for design’.
- The second conference will have Alain Manzano to analyse ‘Efficient communication for team development’ and Patricia Horrillo who will guide de session to acquire digital competences through a ‘Editatona to fight gender gap in Wikipedia’.
This workshop is free, and requires inscription at the event website. It will have 20 places which will be filled by inscription order. You will receive confirmation for your inscription after the revision of the organising committee.
A waitlist will be created to manage vacant places. Please, communicate beforehand if an emergency has occurred and you cannot attend. Like this we will be able to give access to this places to people on the waitlist.
This Workshop is part of the activities organised by the Chair for Digital Gender Gap (UV-GVA), signed between the Universitat de València and the Generalitat Valenciana, under the general direction of Innovation and the Digital Gap Observatory which depends on the Valencian Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism and is funded by said Department.
