Cleo, a young singer, waits impatiently for the results of a medical exam. When a fortune-teller that reads the cards reveals her that she has cancer and she may die, her anxiety increases. Trying to fill her time while waiting for the medical results, Cleo meets a young soldier who is about to set off in order to do military service in Algeria, and she confesses him her fear of death.
