This exhibition brings together a selection of the photographs that the architect and photographer Teobert Maler (1842-1917) took in the Maya Lowlands between the last quarter of the 19th century and the first years of the 20th century. This happened when the rediscovery of ancient civilisations was a constant at the hands of travellers, drawers, photographers and specialists from very diverse backgrounds, mostly European. The tour begins in the Northern Maya Lowlands (Yucatan and Campeche) and ends in the Southern Maya Lowlands (Department of Petén, Guatemala), specifically in the ruins of Tikal.
ScheduleFrom 27 january 2020 to 28 february 2020. Monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday at 08:00 to 20:00.
