Fanfares for Rituals and Liturgies proposes a sonic journey exploring the ceremonial, symbolic, and evocative character of the fanfare throughout the 20th century. The programme opens with the emblematic fanfares of Aaron Copland and Joan Tower, two complementary perspectives on grandeur and collective strength. Henri Tomasi’s Liturgical Fanfares provide a spiritual and dramatic dimension, with scenes evoking moments of profound religious intensity.
In the second half, Leoš Janáček’s Sinfonietta unfolds vibrant and monumental music inspired by the city of Brno and its symbolic spaces. A concert that combines solemnity, energy, and emotion in a journey between ritual and celebration
