Diciembre Europeo 2025 celebrates its 11^th edition from 1 to 20 December under the motto 'Memory and Futuro of Europe. 40 years of spain in the EU'. Universitat de València European Documentation Centre organises the round table 'Memoria y Futuro de europa' ('Memory and Future of Europe') on Thursday 18 at 12:00 p.m. Free entry.

The table will welcome Head of the Generalitat Valenciana EU Affairs Service Ana Enguídanos, Universitat de València retired Economics professor Víctor Fuentes, and UV student Isabel Punter. The round table will be moderated by the UV European Documentation Centre responsible Alfonso Moreira.

This debate comes from the 40th anniversary of the adhession of Spain (and Portugal) to the European Communities. 1986 marked its arrival at the end of the Spanish democratisation and economic international insertion. It also made a starting point for Spain to liberalise its economy (in a context of harmony that meant the only market), to adopt modern society and to broaden its world influence.

This activity aims to analyse these four decades with expert voices.
