Conference by University of alicante Doctor and Professor Ascensión Padilla within the cycle 'Pensamiento ambiental y acción por el clima' ('Environmental thinking and action for climate').
Universitat de València will hold the conference of University of Alicante researcher and professor Ascensión Padilla Blanco, 'Las mujeres en la ciencia. Reivindicando el trabajo pionero' ('Women in science. Reclaiming pioneer work') on Thursday 27 November at Gandia International Centre.
Open to the general public at UVgandia headquarters (c/ Tossal 8) at 8:30 a.m.
Attendants will be brought closer to the crucial role of women in research and science, highlighting their work and contributions to society and focusing on the pioneer female geographers that have been forgotten.
The conference lies within the cycle 'Pensamiento ambiental y acción por el clima' ('Environmental thought and action for climate') coordinated by UVgandia academic director Carme Melo, and UV professor Artemi Cerdà reaching its 4th edition in 2025.
Each Thursday will address phenomena like flood and wildfires, agriculture, Valencian ecosystems or the presence of women in science.
