On-site workshop at Lanevera Ediciones for a maximum of 15 UV undergraduate, master's or doctoral students from the Universitat de València. . No previous knowledge of screen printing is required. Free and required registration by email: @alumni.uv.es

This workshop takes as its starting point a reflection on the role of the visual message in contemporary issues. Using the tools of graphic design and illustration, and starting from images previously selected through an analysis of the rural environment, participants will be asked to play with combining concepts between the rural and the urban, using techniques, palettes and images from the graphic universe of the exhibition 'Neorural, Utopia or Barbarism' by the artist Don Rogelio J, at Lanevera ediciones. It is intended to be a visual game through the images of Don Rogelio J. and his particular didactic personality, using as a vehicle the different processes offered by silkscreen printing and modelling the concepts of the exhibition, which revolve around a new vision of the 'almost' forced flight to the countryside. The special space that is Lanevera Ediciones and its geographical location (the centre of Ruzafa) will also mark a semantic line in the analysis and dialogue of the images to be reproduced. Always supported by the precision and good work of Jussi Folch in the silkscreen technique, who will accompany the creative and technical process that will result in a 50 x 70 cm silkscreen print of the author for each participant.
