Valencia is a city that is born in the sea and expands to the orchard. A place closely linked to its environment, which enjoys a quality Mediterranean gastronomy. Valencia is a cosmopolitan city that has not lost the customs and traditions of its past. Its modern architecture is combined with emblematic buildings throughout the city. All this, bathed by the Mediterranean climate, sunny and with high temperatures, which allows pleasant walks through the gardens of the river, the promenades or through the streets and parks of the city.
With our best efforts, and with the desire to share good times with the professors and students who make the EUCOTAX Wintercourse 2022 Programme possible, we hope you enjoy our culinary richness, our city, our climate, or our landscapes, at the same time that everyone work hard to obtain satisfactory research results.
The University of Valencia, founded in 1499 under the name of Estudi General, and initially dedicated to the study of medicine, humanities, theology and law, has today become a modern European university, open to the culture of practically all branches of education.
At present, the Universitat de València, with more than 3000 researchers and more than 60000 students, comprising 90 departments, 17 institutes and other research units belonging to the social, biomedical, human, experimental and formal sciences, stands out as one of the main public research organisations in Spain. Together with its human resources, the magnitude of its facilities and the up-to-date instrumental equipment available guarantee the quality of a wide range of scientific and technological offerings at the service of society.
The Eucotax Wintercourse meeting can be held thanks to both institutional and private support to which we would like to extend our most sincere thanks: EY, IBFD, the University of Valencia, the Faculty of Law of the University of Valencia, the Jean Monnet programme of the European Union, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Generalitat Valenciana, through the Prometeo 2021-041 project.
