The International Congress “Constitutional Limits of the Exercise of Taxing Power between Spain, Brazil, Mexico and Peru: Common Problems and Tax Reform” took place in the Congress of the Republic of Peru on 3 October 2024. This event had the participation of exceptional speakers of different countries.

Professor García Prats, Full Professor of Financial and Tax Law of the Universitat de València and director of the ETICCs group, gave a conference on “The taxing power on the Spanish Constitution: the crisis of the legality principle”.

Professor Sevilla Bernabéu, Assistant Professor of the Universitat de València and member of the ETICCs group, focused his intervention in analysing the “Constitutional principles for a fair taxation and the abusive use of the Decree-Law on Spanish tax matters”.

The International Congress was chaired by Alexandro Mario Fernández Garibay, Chief of the Centre of Constitutional and Parlamentary Studies of the Congress of the Republic of Peru. The Congress was attended by several congressmen and congresswomen, congress staff, lawyers, and distinguished professors.
