On Friday 19 April 2024, in the Graduate Hall of the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València, researchers José Luis Bosch Cholbi, F. Alfredo García Prats and Mario Grandinetti, from the University of Turin, organised and led the International congress on unresolved questions in tax law – a comparative view.
This congress solidified the connection between the Universitat de València and the University of Turn (Italy), who have joined forces to raise issues of pressing current relevance in the legal and tax fields. It addressed controversial topics such as the taxation of digital nomads, cooperative compliance and artificial intelligence, taxpayer rights in the face of the Spanish Tax Agency, evidence in tax proceedings and international taxation challenges in cases such as holding companies and corporate taxation, among others. The event included lectures by renown figures in the discipline, in particular that of Juan Martín Queralt, a forerunner of today’s school of taxation and a prominent figure at the Universitat de València where he taught until his retirement.
