
On 18 and 19 February 2025 the ‘Global Tax Symposium 2025’ will be held at the University of Münster (Germany), in which the Universitat de València will be represented by the team led by professor Alfredo García Prats.
The symposium focuses on the substantial and institutional challenges of international, regional and national tax law and policy. The topics of special interest are:
- Taxation of digital nomads and digitised business models
- Fiscal nexus without physical presence
- Resolution of tax litigations
- Ecological taxation
- Effective progressive taxation of individuals
- Mobilisation of internal resources
- Automation of tax administration and compliance
- International tax governance, in particular, the future role of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and of the United Nations (UN), as well as their mutual relationships and their relations with regional organisations acting as normative or legislative organisms in tax matters (such as the ATAF or the EU)
