Creating conciliation and co-responsibility plans is a great challenge for Spanish public universities
Universities have not developed Gender Equality Plans enough although they are a key element for removing gender equality barriers. What are the difficulties encountered?
- Conciliation is seen as a cyclical effect with an occasional solution on a case-by-case basis.
- It was impossible to incorporate enough measures of conciliation within the university regulations in regards of both the university staff and the student body (changes of groups, credits, outside internships...).
- There have been important advances in some universities in conciliating and co-responsibility with internal regulations and Concilia Plans, which have incorporated innovative measures in telework when possible.
