This educational innovation project aims primarily to improve foreign language teaching and learning, with a special focus on English, through a multidisciplinary and integrative approach. The proposal is based on the coordination of several courses in the Bachelor's Degree in English Studies, such as 'English Language 1, 3, 5, and 7', as well as the subjects 'Communication in the English Language I and III' in the TADE degree. This curricular coordination establishes pedagogical and methodological continuity that reinforces the progressive development of students' linguistic skills, especially in written expression. The central axis of the project is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) as a learning support tool. Specifically, it proposes using AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT, in a stage following the written production process. This integration is designed as a complement to instructor feedback—not a replacement—aiming to help students better interpret comments received and improve their texts independently. Through these technologies, students can obtain near-instant feedback on grammatical, lexical, and stylistic aspects, as well as suggestions to enrich the content and coherence of their writing. Furthermore, the project promotes working with a wide range of academic and professional discourse genres to prepare students for real-world communicative situations. This diversification contributes to developing a more flexible and adaptive writing competence. AI also plays a key role in personalizing learning, allowing recommendations and activities to be tailored to each student's specific needs, thus fostering a more efficient and meaningful educational process. Another core pillar of the project is fostering student autonomy and creativity. By using AI tools for support, students become active agents in their own learning, capable of identifying errors, revising texts, and making linguistic decisions with greater awareness. This methodological approach favors not only the improvement of written production but also the development of metacognitive skills essential in higher education. Finally, the project includes a rigorous evaluation phase to measure the impact of incorporating AI into foreign language teaching. Students' academic results before and after implementing these digital tools will be compared, as well as with results from the previous academic year, and student perceptions will be gathered through targeted surveys. The data obtained will allow the methodology to be refined and optimized, ensuring its quality and effectiveness. This proposal represents an innovative commitment within language pedagogy, leveraging the power of artificial intelligence to transform educational practices and enhance English communicative competence acquisition.
