VI Foro de Turismo
VI Tourism Forum

September 27th is the official day marked on the calendar by the United Nations to highlight the social, cultural, political and economic value of tourism. On the occasion of this celebration, the Faculty of Economics will take part once again in the World Tourism Day, with a new edition of forTUR_VLC, Tourism Forum.

The Universitat de València’s Faculty of Economics offers the Degree in Tourism, the Double Degree in Tourism and BMA and the Master’s Degree in Tourism Management and Planning. For its part, the Institute of International Economics offers the Doctoral Programme in International Economy and Tourism. In this regard, there’s a valuable staff composed of professors and researchers of the tourism field, from disciplines as varied as economics, marketing or new technologies, to name a few. That’s why we consider we have established an ideal space from which to provide academic solvency to reflections on tourism.

The Tourism Forum seeks to achieve two goals:

  1. Consolidate the UV-FdE and the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies in Tourism as academic reference within the field in particular.
  2. Make students familiar with the most relevant companies and institutions in the tourism field, as well as involve them in the most recent reflection and research areas.

forTUR_VLC effectively turned into a space of reference in tourism’s academic field for our territory. The event accommodates researchers, companies, institutions and students interested in the tourism field in the same forum.
