Eva Ruano Corral graduated with a degree in Romance Languages and Literature from the Universitat de València and is part of the UV Alumni Community. She has been attending medieval history courses and researching the 15th century for more than twenty years.
It was her passion for this historical period and her desire to share her knowledge that drove her to write the novel Arcís, which is set in 1469 – the same year that the Main Altar of the Valencia Cathedral burst into flames during the Pentecost celebration. Acrís is a young painter’s apprentice who accompanies the reader along a journey to discover the fascinating history of Valencia at the end of the 15th century.
