The book 'Aproximació a la vida i obra de José Antonio Valls Subirats (1958-1983)' will be presented on Wednesday 11 January at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Muralla Hall of the Principal Peset Hall of Residence in València. Professor Dr. Vicent Ros, full university professor emeritus of Organ and Harpsichord at the Superior Music Conservatory in València; and Professor Dr. Francisco Carlos Bueno Camejo, lecturer of the Department of History of Art at the Universitat de València, will take part in the event. Lastly, there will be a concert by the pianist Hèctor Tarín Nieto.

The creative work of José Antonio Valls Subirats (1958-1983), a musician from Alcanar who died prematurely before he could develop his promising career as a composer, conductor, performer and professor, has so far not been studied in the depth it deserves. As a tribute, this book analyses his figure from a biographical point of view, but also as an academic and professional, studying his production to determine the characteristics that define him as a composer, his creative resources and his links with foreign music such as, for example, jazz.
