Promoted by the Students’ Delegation and organised by the Information and Promotion Service for Students (Sedi), in collaboration with the Transfusion Centre of the Valencian Community, the Week for the promotion of blood donation at the Universitat de València has been implemented thanks to the promoter students.

From 21 to 25 February, under the slogan “Una donació, tres vides” (One donation, three lives), the promoter students are bringing to light the importance of donating blood. Their task is to inform and raise awareness of donation and to dispel myths and false fears that potential donors may have. In this sense, their aim is to convey the message that donation does not involve any risk and that it can save many people’s lives. This phase of dissemination and awareness-raising is essential in order to succeed in the third and final stage of the programme, blood donation, which is scheduled for 1, 2 and 3 March at the Blasco Ibáñez, Burjassot and Els Tarongers campuses, respectively.
