2026 CALL NOW OPEN

The 2026 Leonardo Grants for Scientific Research and Cultural Creation are intended to support the individual projects of mid-career researchers and cultural creators who are resident in Spain, aged between 30 and 45, and can demonstrate a highly innovative track record in the realms of science, technology or culture.

Projects will have a duration of between 12 and a maximum of 18 months.

At least 55 grants will be awarded under this call in the areas shown below, each for a maximum gross amount of 50,000 euros:

• Physics and Chemistry

• Medicine (Clinical and Translational)

• Biology and Biomedicine

• Environmental Sciences

• Engineering

• Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science

• Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science

• Economics and Social Sciences

• Linguistics, Philosophy, History, and Literature

• Music and Opera. Plastic Arts

• Literary Creation and Performing Arts
