On July 2, professors Vicente Herranz and José Manuel García Verdugo, from the Department of Cellular Biology, Functional Biology and Physical Anthropology of the Faculty of Biological Sciences, organized the second symposium on neurogenesis of the Neurogenesis Research & Innovation Center (NeuRIC).
The NeuRIC research groups include Spanish (Universitat de València, Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience, Institute of Biomedicine of Seville), Japanese (Nagoya City University and Doshisha University), Danish (University of Copenhagen), Canadian (University of Ottawa) and American (University of California San Francisco) Universities and Research centers.
The objective of NeuRIC is to promote international collaboration in the field of postnatal neurogenesis, collaborating with researchers from around the world, carrying out international projects and contributing to the development of young scientists. In this sense, Professor Kazunobu Sawamoto, from Nagoya City University and coordinator of NeurRIC, conveyed to the vice dean of International Relations of the Facultat de CC Biològiques, Carmen Agustín, their interest in continuing to strengthen the collaboration between both institutions and the exchange of students.
