Nine water filtration and recirculation systems for the preservation of aquatic organisms.

Description

They are independent systems in a closed water circuit. Each one of them has a filtration module and a variable number of tanks for stabling aquatic organisms.

The form and number of tanks and the total volume differ from one system to another. This provides versatility to the plant, as it allows to simultaneously carry out various experiences in very different parametric conditions (different salinities, temperatures, pH, stocks of healthy and infected fish, chemical concentration, etc.). All the tanks have supplemental aeration.

The different elements the filtration module is composed of are:

  • Mechanical filter consisting of a sand filter.
  • Biological filtration tower.
  • Protein fractionation or Skimmer.
  • Degassing tower.
  • Fluidised bed tower for pH regulation.
  • Ozone generator.
  • U.V. lamp.
  • Plate exchanger for water cooling.
  • Electric heater for water heating.
  • 2 process pumps: one exchange pump and two Venturi pumps for the skimmer.
  • pH, Temperature, Oxygen and Redox. control probe

A and B systems

They are the exact same. Each one of them has 4 tanks of 3 cubic meters. Total system volume: 12 cubic meters.

C system

It consists of 12 tanks of 0.2 cubic meters each. Total system volume: 2.4 cubic meters. The system is isolated with curtains and has a foot bath at its entrance.

D system

It consists of 24 tanks of 0.2 cubic meters each. Total system volume: 4.8 cubic meters. The system is isolated with curtains.

E system

It consists of 28 tanks of 0.4 cubic meters each. Total system volume: 11.2 cubic meters. The tanks have cyclones for the recollection of surplus feed, which is why it's adequate to carry out nutrition trials in them.

It also has an automatic oxygen injection system.

F system

It consists of 14 tanks (2 of 0.6 cubic meters and 12 of 0.4 cubic meters each). Total system volume: 6 cubic meters.

G system

It consists of 14 tanks of 0.6 cubic meters each. Total system volume: 8.4 cubic meters.

H system

It consists of 4 tanks of 2 cubic meters each. Total system volume: 8 cubic meters.

I system

It consists of 2 square tanks of 4 cubic meters each. Total system volume: 8 cubic meters.

Restricted access to people authorised by the Plant's technicians. Entrance allowed with a personal and non-transferable card. Work with the appropriate personal protective equipment.

The compliance with the operative procedure defined by the section's technicians is a requirement.
