Type: Equipment
Equipment that performs determinations of materials by Raman Spectrophotometry coupled to a confocal microscope.
A non-destructive technique in which the samples to be analysed do not require any prior treatment, they are excited by a laser to obtain the Raman emission of each molecule. It provides information on the physical-chemical structure of the molecules. It is a very powerful tool for the characterisation of materials.
- Art and Museums: in situ and non-destructive analysis of pigments and archaeometric analysis of ancient pieces.
- Biology: cellular research, disease detection, drug design and pharmaceutical materials. Characterisation of drug-cell interactions, microbiology and cell classification. Cosmetics and in vivo skin analysis. Implant analysis.
- Carbon: study of elemental carbon. Nanotubes. Graphene. Diamond and gemstone research.
- Environmental applications.
- Cosmetics.
- Food: Oil adulteration, detection and identification of bacteria and other micro-organisms, SERES detection of pesticides in food, carotenoid analysis, structural characterisation of large and cultivated crops.
- Forensic analysis: non-destructive and in situ identification of drugs and narcotics, explosive materials, investigation of forged documents.
- Determination of materials and nanomaterials.
ISO 9001
