Musical auditions for the University of Valencia Philarmonic Orchestra

The University of Valencia Philarmonic Orchestra conducted by Hilari Garcia.

The auditions for being part of the University of Valencia Philarmonic Orchestra this term will take place from 21 October. Those interested can't be older than 23 years old and must be studying the last years of the Music Professional Degree as minimum. Studying at the University will be viewed fovourably.

The auditions will be for violin, viola, cello, bass, flute / piccolo, clarinet / bass clarinet, bassoon, horn and percussion.

The pre-enrolment is totally free and must be done through a form in the web-page www.uv.es/pam or calling to the Patronat d’Activitats Musicals de la Universitat de València's office 96 398 30 71, before 21 October.

The Orchestra offers to their members economic aids for musical and educational training, soloists promotion and chamber music groups, the possibility of a national and international tour and academic recognition for the University of Valencia students (five free-elective credits / two ECTS credits every year). The University of Valencia Philarmonic Orchestra has become in one of the most important orchestras in the Spanish University's scene. It counts on new students every year and it gaves a high quality training in orchestral interpretation to the 80 young students that blong to it. The Orchestra is conducted by Hilari García since 2011.

During its fifteen years of history -it was created in 1985- more than 700 young musicians have been part of it. Currently, they are occupy their places in Spanish and European professional orchestras.
