A conference reflects on the electronic fraud and the legal means to combat it.

The Faculty of Law welcomes this Friday, 13 December, the II International Conference on Electronic Fraud and Legal Means of Fighting it will take place in the auditorium, located at the Central Department Building (Tarongers Campus), from 9:30. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a forum for disseminating the results of research on the latest trends collecting cyber fraud.

The meeting is set as a space for discussion with experts on cyber fraud and legal means available to the company to fight him. In fact, it will intervene prosecutors, university professors, members of the state security forces and lawyers in the field.
 
This conference is an initiative promoted by the MINECO DER 2011-24226 Project 'e-fraud and banking communications in the European Union: procedural and substantive aspects' of RedNAC (Net Against Cyber fraud) (www.rednac.es) and has the support of the Faculty of Law of the University of Valencia, the Red Derecho Tics, ICAV and APEP.
 
RedNAC, the first Internet network against online fraud
RedNAC is the first international Internet -based network that fights online fraud. This platform, which has the support of eleven countries of America, Europe and Australia, combines the expertise of researchers and legal professionals in effective treatment to protect the heritage and the economic interests of both bank users and consumers in general.
 
The research team of RedNAC project, led by Dr. Carolina Sanchis Crespo, is formed by professors of the University of Valencia María José Vañó and Pilar Montes. RedNAC is the result of the development of the 'e- Justice in the European Union: consumers and financial institutions facing mail fraud', which continues in force until 2014 by a second R&D project, supported by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and competitiveness, on 'e-fraud and banking communications in the European Union: procedural and substantive aspects'.
 
The platform RedNAC aims to combat e-fraud through the participation of experts in banking communications, which main problem is, along with e-commerce, security.
 
RedNAC is defined as an innovative and ambitious project that aims to provide solutions against cyber fraud through information and pooling the legal questions raised by electronic commerce and payment. On the one hand, it tries to prevent e- fraud and, on the other, to eradicate the cases already detected.
