The University hosted the international congress ‘Universitat i Propietat Intel•lectual: el Present i els Nous Reptes’ (university and intellectual property: the present moment and the new challenges) on Thursday and Friday, 24th and 25th November, at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences. The event was organized by the University’s and VLC/CAMPUS’s research group GI+dPI under the framework of the R&D project of the Ministry for Science and Innovation DER 2.010-21.327. The congress was held as a result of the interest raised by intellectual property and its relationship with the academic world.
The aim of the congress was to be a forum to discuss the current relationship between the University and the intellectual property. This debate is structured based on four central themes: intellectual property and university teaching, intellectual property and research, intellectual property and university libraries and intellectual property and knowledge transfer.
The entrance to the congress was free for lecturers, researchers, grant holders, postgraduates, librarians and other staff at the university research centres.
