The University of Valencia, awarded as leader in labour safety

The General Council of Industrial and Labor Sciences (CGRICT) has awarded the University of Valencia for its practices in risk prevention. The vice-principal for Sustainability and

Infrastructures, Clara Martinez, received the award Prever 2012 last Friday in Madrid, during the celebration of a technical seminar on prevention.

 

The University received the award, which is awarded annually, in the section of companies and institutions. Candidates are nominated by the winners last year, Working DGs of the autonomous communities, the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. A joint committee of CGRICT and proposer agencies choose the names of the winners. Prizes have been awarded since 1998.

 

The term of the Plan Risk Prevention of the University of Valencia, since late 2009, has allowed the area of ​​prevention of the Health and Safety and the Environment Service to develop annual planning each year in the field, and to encourage through awareness campaigns and information preventive culture in the different campuses among the university community.
