6th Edition for the PECREA Awards Ceremony. Centre Cultural La Nau

The yearly Public Valencian Universities for Creation Awards (PRECREA) ceremony gather the university community and the Valencian cultural sector, highlighting the commitment of public universities with creation, innovation and promotion of culture as the social progress engine.

Valencian public universities give these awards for five categories, cultural work of people, collectives or institutions for particular work or action, as well as relevant career.

Juana Francés Award for Visual and Plastic Arts (UMH): The winner is Carmen Calvo. renowned concept artist whose work presents a critical dialogue between memory, identity and collective imagination and lies in museums and collections.

Senate Role

The ceremony will include a performance by Julián Hackenberg, interdisciplinary creator working in theatre, sound and language. His work translates events into sensory spacesm exploring presence as a shared experience. His intervention will most surely leave a moment of emotion and connection complementing the cultural excelence celebrated at the PRECREA Awards.
