Film series "Gazes without borders"

Affliction

Synopsis: Filmed in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, the story starts in the remote village of Meliandou where the first victim was identified.  We are then taken to all three affected countries, providing a compelling view of the impact Ebola had on the lives of individuals.
Affliction explores many different aspects of the outbreak. Village chiefs, patients, survivors and aid workers talk about the fear and rejection, stigma, impact of quarantine, mortality, the failure of the international response, the lack of adequate medical treatment and the complex reality facing those who have survived Ebola.
The film crew were given unlimited access to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) facilities and captured unique footage.
