The best design of the year is an exhibition comprising a selection of 40 projects that give visibility to creative excellence and the values of a good design in its different disciplines. The works on display have been selected from among the finalists and winners of the FAD Architecture Awards, the ADI Industrial Design Awards and the ADG Laus Awards for graphic design and visual communication, all organised by the FAD (Promotion of Arts and Design) associations.
The exhibition can be visited following four transversal itineraries: three of them with works that respond to the values of the New European Bauhaus, beauty, inclusivity and sustainability, and the fourth dedicated to technological innovation. This is an itinerant version of the exhibition that could be seen at the Disseny Hub Barcelona and that now travels to Valencia on the occasion of the World Design Capital València 2022, thanks to the impetus of the Barcelona City Council and the Disseny Hub.
The exhibition incorporates, in this itinerancy, a section formed by the winning works of the Positive Impact Award of the Designers' Association of the Valencian Community (ADCV). A content that connects Valencia and Barcelona through the more responsible side of design as a facilitator of change towards a more sustainable, innovative, inclusive and equitable system.
