Big Band UV
Debut Concert
During the 2025–26 academic year, the Universitat de València has promoted a jazz workshop led by Kako Rubio, from the Sedajazz musicians’ collective, with the aim of creating a Big Band at the UV.
The workshop, held between February and May with a total duration of 28 hours, has involved more than 20 musicians from the university community. The ensemble includes saxophones, trumpets, trombones, clarinets and flutes, as well as a rhythm section (guitars, piano, electric bass and percussion) and a vocalist, giving rise to the first Big Band UV.
