Healing in fiction
Painting, currently viewed as a mere technique, is an alternative factor to the symbolic and constitutive order of our developed societies. Its emancipatory openness, which is present in the work of Chema López with the title Auxilio/Rebelión, is the background of the juxtaposition of formal, compositional, lyrical and conceptual elements. It is a mural in which memory and health come together in the fiction of every image.
That is why, through the previously mentioned aspects, every student in the Faculty of Nursing will live through every vital circumstance of their life as an aesthetical experience based on the needed appropriation and dedication that, with assistance labour and care management, will shape their life and professional career.
Those who are ready to perform the great task of going further than just aiding, is because through that they have set the space for a healing humanist uprising. Far from looking for cheering and applauses, we stand for a necessary maturing process and spiritual education in the entire population. Art and its intellectual enjoyment influence, in a subtle but deep way, in the determination of these goals. And now they do it in the academic field.
