Held at Palau de Cerveró of the University of Valencia, the exhibition ‘Darwin and Galileo in a comic. Illustrations by Jordi Bayarri’ includes a selection of pictures from the comics project Colección Científicos, as well as their creative process The show presents the life and works of the first two main characters of the collection: Charles Darwin and Galileo Galilei.

Created by cartoonist Jordi Bayarri and science historian Tayra Lanuza, the Colección Científicos project is intended to disseminate knowledge about great figures in the history of science, based on the information produced in research centres and studies by professionals in this field, through the publication of a collection of biographical comics aimed at young audiences. The collection began with Charles Darwin and followed with Galileo Galilei in July 2013. It will continue with other figures such as Isaac Newton and Marie Curie.

In addition to many of the cartoons that are part of the scientific biography drawn, the exhibition shows some original pages and sketches by the artist, allowing us to see the making of the comics featuring Galileo and Darwin.
