The exhibition "Destiny Equality" aims to promote gender equality, sorority, and solidarity between India and Spain, while making known the Vicente Ferrer Foundation and the Women's Empowerment Program, developed in rural India and co-financed by the Generalitat Valenciana.
Through the story of Nagalakshmi, various themes are explored with a gender perspective: quality education, social leadership, economic independence, and food sovereignty. All these themes are addressed from a local-global perspective since, although the forms of discrimination suffered by women depend on the context, their root is common worldwide.
By making visible life stories of women from different parts of the world, the exhibition "Destiny Equality" denounces the injustices suffered by women in different global contexts, recognizes and gives voice to their stories of struggle and overcoming, and inspires other women and men to walk towards equality.
