Based on the original script by Luis García Berlanga and Rafael Azcona. José Luis is a shy young man who works in a funeral parlour. One day, during a service in a prison, he meets an executioner called Amadeo. Due to fate and a briefcase, José Luis meets Carmen, Amadeo's daughter.
