“To put yourself in someone else’s shoes” means trying to see the world from their feet, from their story, and from what they feel even if it cannot always be explained in words. It means understanding that each person lives, feels, and walks through life in a different way.

Through dance and movement, we will journey through different stories, emotions, and ways of inhabiting the world, symbolically putting ourselves in other people’s shoes.

The work also reflects on the speed at which we live and on that constant need to look at the lives of others, often forgetting to inhabit our own.

Along that path, we sometimes wear shoes that do not belong to us, trying to fit in, run, or follow other people’s rhythms. That is why Barefoot is also an invitation to stop, listen to ourselves, and walk again from a more authentic, human, and free place.

Because not all of us are the same, nor do we perceive things in the same way — that is the beauty of diversity. Put yourself in my shoes
