ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE.

The exhibition “Esenciales para la vida” is part of the education for development campaign entitled "Medicamentos esenciales. Recetas que salvan vidas”” (Essential medicines: life-saving prescriptions), which deals with the difficulty in having access to essential medicines. The project aims to sensitize citizenship, explaining the reality of the lack of access to essential medicines in poor countries, highlighting North-South inequalities.

The campaign explores the reasons why millions of people worldwide, a third of the world population, do not have access to essential medicines that could save their lives. By reflecting on the lack of access variables: geographical and sociocultural factors, quality and safety, rational use, neglected diseases, patents, prices and public policies, it is intended to reflect on injustices and to make visible health problems in the world, focusing on rights to promote values of solidarity, equity and social inclusion.
