The Universitat de València launches the exhibition season for another year with a solidary exhibition. The APIV (Professional Association of Valencian Illustrators) organises an exhibition-auction at the Cultural Centre La Nau whose funds are destined to the Nepali people on behalf of the humanitarian crisis suffered as a consequence of the earthquakes which happened this year. Several graphic illustrators and artists have thrown themselves disinterestedly into their auction works for the charity auction organised by the APIV, under the collaboration of the Universitat de València.

Around 300 original works and serial reproductions were donated by 105 graphic illustrators and artists from all around Spain and they will be auctioned and offered for sale in affordable prices. All benefits obtained during the auction and selling will be destined to the Nepali emergency fund by Oxfam Intermón.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

From 9 September the exhibition will open to the public in the Sala Oberta at La Nau, were a selection of the works will be exhibited. The auction, which will be lead by designers MacDiego, Modesto Granados and Boke Bazán, will take place on 12 September at 18:30 in the Aula Magna of the Cultural Centre La Nau of the Universitat de València. The works which are not sold, a second auction will be held on the digital portal eBay from 16 to 22 September.

Among the illustrators participating there are several styles and techniques, with names such as Paco Roca, Isidro Ferrer, Cristina Durán, Carlos Ortin, Enrique Flores or Pablo Auladell, among others.
