Synopsis
Antonio Ariño and Joan Romero, on the occasion of the book they presented last October “La secesión de los ricos” (‘The secession of the rich’) (Galaxia Gutenberg), will analyse in this seminar social inequalities and their consequences, not only globally but also at the European and Spanish level. Inequalities that are not just by chance, but the result of a deliberate strategy maintained for decades by the "superrich" and its exclusive interests, which have given rise to a structural and systemic phenomenon that crosses the world like a ghost. Although the authors acknowledge that the concentration of wealth has always existed, the current singularity lies in the accumulation of these enormous sums of wealth that have occurred in democratic societies, not in those of the Ancien Régime.
Free entrance. Limited capacity
