Cinema series "Fogs of film noir"
"La Golfa" (La Chienne, Jean Renoir, 1931).
It relates the unfortunate life of the cashier of a company who falls in love with Lulú. Although his love is not corresponded, he is willing to do anything for her. In 1945, Fritz Lang was inspired by the same story to make the film Scarlet Street. This psychological drama needs no introduction, a clear influence on American film noir.
