SYNOPSIS:

Max Ophüls' adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler's controversial play. A masterpiece of intersecting stories that speak of love, seduction and feelings.

Soldiers seducing maidens, maidens seducing married men, wives giving themselves to young strangers, a whole gallery of characters who move on the most liberal side of a Vienna that, at the time, pretended to be puritanical. All together they form a mix of emotions and feelings in which life wreaths us.
