SYNOPSIS
Intimate diary of an upper-class woman illustrated by her husband’s domestic video tapings, a rich industrialist, between last century’s 40s and 60s. The movie is also a classic melodrama in the style of Douglas Sirk or Todd Haynes, with skin-deep feelings. A journey through the skies of old Europe. A romantic dream.
“Lies are only one way of telling the truth. The same pattern is concealed under all fragments. The essential isn’t spoken of nor seen. It’s looked for, but not found. What’s reality but a continuous and infinite reconstruction? The will to believe in the hand of man hanging from the precipice and holding onto the only rock that may save him. Except he always ends up falling”. Paravadin Kanvar Kharjappali
