Summary:

Pompeii is a huge living laboratory of excavation, research and restoration, and enormous wealth of knowledge that is growing everyday thanks to ongoing projects, new discoveries and research. Pompeii is also a central and driving area for Archaeology at a global level. Since the beginning of the excavation works in 1748, Pompeii has always been sort of a capital of archaeology and we have the responsibility of making it accessible and transparent for everyone.
