TEACHING, LEARNING AND LIVING IN VALENCIAN. 40 years of the Law on Use and Teaching of Valencian

The exhibition presents an approach to the most relevant actions that have taken place both before and after the approval of the Law on the Use and Teaching of Valencian (LUEV) in 1983, now 40 years ago. This initiative comes from various entities, such as the Generalitat, the Provincial Council of València, municipalities, universities, and various organizations, groups, and associations that have been concerned and have fought for the preservation of our language.

The exhibition highlights the significant effort and work carried out prior to the approval of the LUEV, marking a historic milestone with the creation of a regulatory framework for the use and teaching of Valencian, both in the educational and social spheres. Through the exhibition, the aim is to emphasize the commitment of numerous individuals who have been an integral part of the normalization process of Valencian, overcoming the difficulties and complexity associated with existing tasks and challenges.

Curated by Anna Marí Martínez, Vicent Moreno Montañés, and Remei Oriola Bataller, the exhibition, produced by the City Council of Aldaia, is presented on the Ontinyent campus through the "Cultura als Campus" program of the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Society of the University of València. It is relevant to note that all the content of the exhibition is presented in Valencian, emphasizing our strong commitment to the promotion and respect of our language.
