‘ELLAS... NOSOTRAS’ (‘THEM... US’)

THEM: Trisha Brown, Pina Bausch, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker.
Through their work, these internationally renowned artists offer an enormous sensitivity and a wide range of styles. The legacy of these three choreographers inspires US to learn and acquire new knowledge. And so, in our own way, we would like to pay tribute to them on the occasion of the Noche de San Juan 2023 celebration. As a teacher and choreographer, my intention was to stage this performance drawing inspiration from some emblematic works by Trisha Brown, Pina Bausch and Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. To perform some excerpts of these choreographers from the idea of reconstruction, in a flexible and open way in order to adapt the technical and artistic demands and, thus, to create a piece bringing out the best of each student so that they can show to the public the experience acquired throughout the academic year and their particular talent. May each one of US feel proud of our work and may it be reflected on stage.
