Lluïsa Julià
Doctor in Catalan Studies (UB 1990) researcher and literary reviewer. Currently she is an associate professor in the UOC. Specialised in Joaquim Ruyra and in modernist literature, her studies and editions about the genealogy of modern and contemporary writers are remarkable, with works such as Tradició i orfenesa (2007) or the biography Maria-Mercè Marçal. Una vida (2017).

She has been vice-president of the Felícia Fuster Foundation, member of the writing council of Serra d’Or and director of Revista de Catalunya (2022-2024). She has carried out a wide asssociative and cultural task. Among others, she has been General Secretary of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (2001-2009), member of the National Board of Cultural Omnium (2011-2015) and PEN Català (1997-2001) and first vice-president of the Barcelona Ateneu (2021-2024).

Synopsis
After a period of silence, Maria Beneyto comes back to poetry in catalan. How does she do it? The conference exposed which changes have happened in the female written poetry panorama at the end of the 20th century, how it happened, which topics they chose and how they approached them, and how this influenced Beneyto’s poetry.
