On 11 July 1978, a truck carrying propylene exploded just a few metres from the Els Alfacs campsite, located in the Montsià region. For a few seconds, everything was engulfed in flames. The international press quickly reported on the accident. The images of the disaster circulated by journalists shocked people around the world.

One Summer tells the story of a family spending their summer holidays at this campsite near the Ebro River delta, in a place that until then had been known for its pine forests, sand dunes and its almost perfect tranquillity
