
Els valors de la Universitat: art i patrimoni als campus is a programme by the Vice-Pincripal Office for Culture and Society to commemorate the 525th anniversary of the Universitat de València foundation. The project is an invitation for contemporary artists to paint murals at different UV campuses and, with the commitment of the institution with its cultural purpose, provides the university values as the axis of artistic creation.
The programme takes off in 2024 and opens itself to the diversity of artistic languages of today, attending the needs that come with patrimony preservation of architectonic spaces used for interventions. In this context, other exempt techniques have incorporated progressively in the university space. This first phase consist on sixteen works by Moisés Mahiques, Chema López, Cale Carratalá, Cachetejack, Isabel Gálvez, Ernesto Casero, Álex Gambín, Merche Pereira, Ana Císcar Cebrià, Ana Peñas, Juan Olivares and Julieta XLF.
Late in 2025, the programme has grown with the incorporation of pieces from the IVAM given under a signed agreement between the institutions. Structures in different phases, the first one concluded with the incorporation of eleven artistic works by Alberto Corazón, Miquel Navarro, Juan Asensio, Juan Carlos Nadal, Sanleón and Andreu Alfaro.
This university patrimony growth allowed to restore and integrate art pieces acquired throughout the years by the Vice-Principal Office for culture and Society as well as other artistic creation support programmes promoted by Universitat de València.
Aiming to continue for years, the programme intends to integrate this repatrimonisation process with the broad university patrimony and give access to students and citizens with patrimony itineraties.
This way, Els valor de la Universitat: art i patrimoni als campus follows the UV's mission of cultural creation and transference along with the preservation of historical, artistic and cultural patrimony in order to democraticise culture access.
