
This proposal aims to commemorate Universitat de València’s 525th anniversary since its Foundation by producing a series of murals over diferent campus areas. Through this art, the University makes noticiable its most significant vàlues and its committment with culture, tolerance and the citizens.
The artístic proposal is disseminated throughout diferent campus and means an addition to the mural intervention done during diferent periods and aiming to revitalise the heritage that is the university collection.
As an exemple of the kind of artists that Update and condolidate this initiative, we have Javier Clavo (Faculty of Geography and History), Joaquin Michavila (Joan Reglà Library of Humanistics), Marina Iglesias (Faculty of Biology), Paula Bonet (Institute of Integrative Biology and Systems or I2SysBio) and Paco Roca (Faculty of Law).
Now, the University is welcoming new artists of the present to produce a new piece of work in an specific location with an specific topic. This topic reflects the values and the adaptiation to the architectural environament.
The creation process is being documented and will come with a the publication of a theoretical essay compiling the heritage background of the UV murals.
