The film tells the story of Jasmine, an elegant and glamorous woman of New York’s high society who suffers a deep existential crisis. When she separates from her wealth husband, Hal, Jasmine has to leave her luxurious life and move to San Francisco to live with her sister, Ginger, a working-class woman who lives in a small apartment with his partner, Chili. There she will have to adapt herself to a very different lifestyle.
