The general objective of the doctoral studies programme is the multidisciplinary training of students in the fields of Biomedicine and Biotechnology, through a high level theoretical, methodological and research training. Doctors of this programme will be able to carry out in a near future a quality international-oriented research work, as well as praiseworthy professional exercise in the companies of this area. Future doctors in "Biomedicine and Biotechnology" will be trained to show a systematic understanding of molecular approximations, as well as the command of the research skills and methods related to Molecular Technologies for Research in Health Sciences and Biotechnology; produce, design, put in practice and adopt a substantial research process with academic rigour; carry out an original research in any of the research lines in Biomedicine and Biotechnology that contributes to extending the limits of knowledge and is worthy of authorisative publication at a national or international level; produce a critical analysis, assessment and synthesys of new and complex ideas in any field of Molecular Sciences; and communicate with their colleagues, with the academic community in general, about their knowledge in Biomedicine and Biotechnology.
