Ethical review of doctoral research
Research conducted within the Doctoral Programme in Specific Didactics involving human participants, the collection of personal data, interviews, questionnaires, classroom observations or audiovisual recordings must undergo ethical review by the Human Research Ethics Committee (CEIH) of the University of Valencia, before any contact or intervention with research participants begins. Applications must be submitted at least two months in advance through the University of Valencia Electronic Office, together with the completed EH-1 form and all required supporting documentation. Doctoral researchers are strongly encouraged to consult the application forms and informed consent templates, as well as the CEIH Frequently Asked Questions, which provide detailed information on the applicable requirements, procedures and ethical review criteria. Please note that the CEIH does not evaluate research projects in which contact or intervention with participants has already begun, and no retrospective approval or regularisation procedure is available. For further information or clarification, please contact the CEIH Technical Secretariat directly at ceih@uv.es.
